1973 MG Midget

Owned 31 years. This car can run 70 MPH all day long. Several 1000 mile tours. Paint about 15 years old. Very nice.

Extra original parts, for example Original Steering wheel, original transmission.

Free Transmissions

I believe that they are both four syncro, for five main bearing 1800 engines.

The one that still has a shifter lever, I drained the old crud oil, removed the inspection plate.

It looks like the gears and syncros are all in good shape, with the exception of some wear on the front of the reverse gear.

The other one I did not drain or examine.

I believe that the one that still has a shifter is the newer of the two as it has a side fill plug for gear oil,

vs the other having the older dip stick and fill on the top. These are free and can be picked up in Scotts Mills.
